Founded in the spring of 2006 in Jasper County, Iowa, Starrett’s Taxidermy was born from a personal experience shared between my father and me. After a disappointing encounter with a taxidermist, I made a promise to never again let someone else handle a piece of my own — and that promise became the foundation of our business.
At Starrett’s Taxidermy, we live by one simple principle:
“Treat every mount as if it were your own — one you’d proudly hang on your own wall.”
Our craftsmanship is built on the expert training and mentorship received from Ergenbright Taxidermy and Joe Meder, both highly respected professionals and exceptional teachers in the field.
Whether you’re preserving a once-in-a-lifetime trophy or a meaningful hunt, you can trust that your mount will receive the same care, detail, and respect that we would give our own.
We take great pride in offering top-quality work, personalized service, and lasting results — and we look forward to working with you.
